DANNY ROWE WORKING TOWARDS PRO MOD CHAMPIONSHIP GOAL ONE RACE AT A TIME

September 8, 2006 ( Epping , NJ ) - With the points race tight and the IHRA E-Max Drag Racing Series winding down for 2006, every race and round win is crucial. Especially is the case with Pro Mod pilot Danny Rowe. Rowe is only a hand-full of points behind the current leader Glenn Kerunsky. With just a round of racing separating the two, Rowe is on the fast track to grasping the 2006 IHRA Pro Mod Championship.

"The points chase is as close as I have ever seen it, which makes it fun for the fans and sponsors alike," said Rowe. "I know the people at Gainsbough Capitol are very wound-up, so everything we do is important. However, we cannot get ahead of ourselves; we have to take it one round at a time, and concentrate on this weekend. We still want to win this race no matter where we are in the points chase. Our team has worked hard all season. We really want to do well."

Rowe, and his team led by crew chief Jimmy Rector, has performed very consistently all year. The current points chase is only reflective on season long efforts. With consistency being one of the most important aspects of IHRA Pro Mod Drag Racing, Rowe certainly has the competitive edge. Heading into the final stretch of 2006 racing, every round counts towards the race to the Championship.

Danny Rowe and team would like to thank Gainsborough Capitol, NGK Sparkplugs, Hoosier Tires, Redline Oil, and Weld Racing for their continued support. The next IHRA E-Max Drag Racing Series race is a rain make-up race, The IHRA Canadian Nationals Toronto Motorsports Park, Cayuga, ON Sep. 22-24, 2006.
