just saw this on tv - emitt smith and female professional dance partner were
given mic time over weekend at nascar race in texas, asking fans for their vote,
telling the fans how great and loyal they are.

draw your own conclusions (past the obvious)
laughable actually.

Yeah, I caught a couple of eps of "Dancing with Wolves"... and I think now that Mario finally understands that you can't "Free Style", he is the best they have this season... I just could not get over how long Jerry kept getting voted on to the next round... wife loves it... I got caught by having to manually tape the first 5 eps... never could figure out how to pre program the VCR downstairs so I try to tape on the one here in my sons room... hit the channel and push record.

Did you know that Ashley Force was invited to be on the show? Scheduling conflicts nixed it, but I thought it was pretty cool that they would extend the invitation.

Here, here.... agree 1000% PJ... remember learning to 'Ballroom' dance when I was a kid back in the late '60's... now I step on my own feet, much less my partner's

my comments weren't meant to berate the show - my wife loves it too,
and i have even watched it a time or two. lots of talent indeed.
my point is that these fans are being played to for an easy vote, same as
a sponsor expecting brand loyalty. i wonder how much money exchanged hands
for their few minutes in front of the fans.......and it's not just for their vote,
it's a live commercial for the show.
it's emitt, it's texas, it's ratings. gotta' hand it to whoever thought this one up.
