Cts-v

Well atleast it is available from the dealer with a V8 and RWD. That's more than can be said about a lot of the 500 inch RWD Cavaliers, Mopars, in PS.

It wouldn't surprise me. Rockingham's Steve Earwood has a CTS-V, says it's quicker than his Carrera.

RE: MOPAR. Dodge Chargers come with an available V8 and have rear wheel drive. Ever driven an SRT8 Charger?

I have a client who has a heavily-modded CTSv 4-door. It's one of the early ones, so it's getting a little old now I guess; but that car is so tough it's actually borderline ridiculous. It's basically a race car with license plates and leather interior. He's had more sheet done to it than I can list here. WAY too much money dumped into it, in my opinion. It's more or less a hopped up ZR1 that looks like a Cadillac. Nice..... but insane. Too much motor and torque for a street car

Somehow, this car has to be a full on Class Killer in Stock Eliminator.... Any reason we don't see more of them on the drag strip?

At last year's Gators I asked one of the GM Performance reps if they're ever going to come out with a stripper CTS-V coupe for stock / super stock or at least a body in white.

He said, "We have no plans at the moment but you certainly aren't the first person to ask that."

So maybe if enough people ask or waive some $$$$ in GM's face.... ;)

As far as fast 4-doors and station wagons guys, remember, if drag racing has taught us anything it's that the engine doesn't know what body it's wrapped in (aside from weight of course) :D

My wife and I was at the grocery store one day. A new black 4 door was in the lot as we walked past it I was slobbering over it. Then a lady with a cartsissues coming our way. She looked like Betty White's twin. Smiles at us and says it's mine and it's fast. My wife looked at me and just laughed. I want a 2 door.

GM wouldn't want any wind taken out of the COPO program's sails (or sales ;) ), right now.

Ok... So I head to Caddy, buy a couple... Drive over to my fab guy's place with rulebook in tow and hand over any cash I have left and tell him to make it class-ready. What- am I going to be bounced out of tech because Chevy won't be happy?

(Hell- the aftermarket on the parts I pull off would probably pay for most of one of the new cars...)

No, you'll get bounced from tech because the car isn't in the Classification Guide, and it's highly unlikely that in this prime time of the GM pushing the COPO program, that GM is going to submit the CTS-V for Stock Eliminator (it would be massively cool, though).
