The people who own the track say that the contractors told them one price before the work was started and then raised it AFTER it was done.
Thats pretty simple to prove. Just look at the contracts, pay apps, and change orders.

I spent eight years working in construction litigation , with years in Florida.
These kind of "disputes" go on all the time with contractors trying to collect their final payment after the work is completed.
Many Developers over spend the budget, and then can't pay until they arrange more financing.
The "discount wanting" guys are normally the bottom feeders of the business,
but sometimes very large developers use this tactic because they have future projects.
Some owners believe you should give them 5-10% discount at the end of the project because of "all" the money you made!
If you can reduce your total project costs by spending some money on lawyers & experts,
then that's the method that some folks use to save their Budget.
It's not right , but happens everyday somewhere in this big country.

I would just like to make it clear that even though it says Moroso Investment Properties, the old entity of Moroso Motorsports Park was sold and this litigation has no bearing on the Moroso Products company that is a stalwart in the high performance aftermarket business.
Rick Moroso is a friend of mine and I just don't want anything slanderous to be thrown his way and soil the family name.

I don't think you would have to worry about that , as long as Moroso continues to sell quality stuff . Thats what matters in a parts supplier the quality of the stuff they sell , well thats what matters to me anyway .
