I am not a believer in NEVER race a green race car, I drove the TEAM GREEN top Alcohol dragster for 4 year's an it was in shop #13. An I am still here to give you SH*T

From the heritage series rule book for N/TF:

SUPERCHARGER
Restricted to Roots-type supercharger; rotor helix angle not to exceed that of standard 71-series GM-type rotor. High-helix prohibited. OEM manufacturer’s cast or extruded billet blower case mandatory. Maximum size: 6-71, 18.250-inch case length. Maximum rotor length: 15 inches. Maximum rotor cavity diameter: 5.840 inches. Maximum overdrive: 14.99 percent. Rotors must be driven from the front; both external drive and internal gearing. Blower setback may not allow any portion of blower to extend behind bellhousing mounting surface on cylinder block. Spacer or components between top of supercharger case and bottom of fuel injector hat restricted to 2-inch maximum. Supercharger restraint system meeting SFI Spec 14.3 mandatory. Aluminum studs required.

With that being said, this was not a Heritage Series race and I don't know if the Nostalgia Top Fuel have a different set of rules. However If they do, then they are not much different than the heritage series.

Tim's car is a Heritage Series legal NTF car. The Extreme Top Fuel Series runs Heritage Series rules and is open to any NHRA Heritage Series legal car wanting to compete. The only real difference in the series is that the cars qualify on a minimum 2 run average instead of the singular lowest ET. Race day brings the attraction of a break rule where if a car can't make it back for the next round, the quickest losing ET has the right to take the spot and so on with the second quickest loser etc. This keeps all teams in the game as everyone should go back and service their car (just in case). Therefore every round should have a pairing where there is a winner. The driving force behind these rules is to bring a show to the promoting track that guarantees cars go down the track and that there is a winner every round at at the end of the day. There is incentive for teams to race hard but conservatively smart so as to not miss runs. We believe this effectively levels the playing field a bit to keep the better cars from dropping bombs and then sitting on their best run. The payout is structured to give everyone something for showing up and making runs with added incentive that running good will pay you a little bit more. This is our vision of building a class that can step up and into the Heritage Series at any time if desired while still having the ability to race and tracks closer to home at a more affordable cost. It reduces the match-race mentality of making a so-so run and collecting your money and gives the fans someone to pick as a favorite to win. We're really only 3 races into it due to C-19 but track owners and fans are really starting to see what we're talking about. We believe it is a win-win-win for track owners, fans, and the race teams themselves. Thanks for the info Mike, you guys have put together a great show. I've been keeping tabs on Larry Gotcha's progress as that car is one we use to sponsor when it ran out here when it was know as the Western Hoist Special.

Cliff if you want to go to the Tucson for the nitro event, I don't mind chipping in for a ticket to get in or some gas money. let me know.

Gino, I won't be able to attend the Tucson race. God bless you for offering $ help. My biggest problem this year has been my asthma. I had to quit doing my volunteer job at the airport, cuz wearing the mask did me in. For awhile, it was a big deal for me to walk a few blocks even. OK, been to the doc, etc etc. Am using inhaler & all that. I hope to get better by the end of the year. My goal is 2022 Nat'l event at Wild Horse. Man, I hate this stuff, but that's what I get for being 3/4 of a century old. heh heh

I just lost one of my (older) friends to pancreatic cancer yesterday. You do what you need to do to take care of yourself, but make sure you get some exercise and vitamin B12 and D.
