Congrats Prof!

It was awesome to see WJ get the win, no matter how it occurred!

thanks for letting us know before the race is over on tv:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Dude! Really? You get on here on race day expecting not to see results and congratulations to the winners?

I avoid all racing sites and even Facebook as I have too often read something I didn't want to while waiting for the telecast.

I wonder what people would've said 10 years ago if anyone said WJ would go 3 years without a win anytime in his career?

Yup same here.

I was plesantly suprised after reading the result on dragcentral yesterday. Looks like WJ ate the bear this time. Congratulations, its a long overdue and a well deserved win.

glad to see WJ win one, but oh man what luck! and no one better deny it, if you do, do you really think WJ would have beaten, aj edwards and jeggie, not in a trillion years. but conrats to the professor

But Jeff, he DID beat them. Call it luck, but part of winning isn't just having the fastest car. It's not making mistakes. Jeggie and Mike both made mistakes, that WJ didn't, and he made 4 nice runs. He deserved the win, I was really happy to see it.

Don't forget he would not have been able to take advantage of all those weird happenings had he not managed to win first round with a hole shot.

Sometimes, you make your own luck.

What happened to Jeggie's car?

I didn't get a chance to talk to any of the Jegs guys so I can't say for sure other than it happened immediately. Jeg's 60 foot was in the neighborhood of 1.70 as I remember so the car didn't even get that far under power.

It really acted like a ring or pinion, but the car seemed to roll ok so who knows. I'd bet drivetrain.

Luck is where preparation meets opportunity. He made four clean runs and the others didn't,if that's luck,so be it.

People go on about things being boring lately but nobody can say that that pro stock eliminations were boring. The was a huge upset that lead to a great win on WJ's part.
