CANNONBALL RACING PARTNERS WITH MARK PULLEN

Lyman, SC — The Teams of Scotty Cannon and Mark Pullen have joined forces to run a two car IHRA Pro Modified effort for the remaining 10 races on the 2008 schedule. This two car team will put Scotty Cannon back in the cockpit beginning with the TORCO Racing Fuels President’s Cup Nationals in June. The team will run only one car with Scott Cannon Jr. behind the wheel at this weekend’s Motor City Nationals at Milan Dragway. Mark Pullen owner of Mark’s Truck Repair LLC in Baltimore, Maryland has owned several pro modified cars in the past. His team ran some IHRA events as well as some outlaw pro mod events as well. “When I heard that Scotty Cannon had sold his car and was available to drive I jumped at the chance to put him in the seat of my new Vanishing Point 1968 Firebird” said Mark Pullen.

Scotty Cannon will be absent from this weekend’s event due to an already scheduled business trip to Dubai. Cannon is tuning the car he had planned to drive this year but sold due to the loss of his sponsorship. “I told these guys when they bought the car I would be able to help run the car because without a sponsor we would not be at the remaining events. It looks like now we will be at all the races with two cars just like our original plan. Mark has stepped up as well as Damien Moore from Moore’s Body shop in Baltimore because they want to see us continue to race. We are absolutely still in search of a major sponsor at this point” said Scotty Cannon. Cannon Jr. is excited as well. “I was beginning to think I would not be able to defend my title this year. Now we will just take it round by round and see where we end up” said Cannon Jr.
