Bruno and Dooley Racing Head To Toronto With A New Game Plan

Toronto, ON - For the IHRA Pro Stock team of Mike Bruno and Tim Dooley, 2006 has been a season filled with many challenges. Starting the season out with team leader, Mike Bruno, behind the wheel of a brand new Rick Jones built GTO as well as breaking in rookie driver, Tim Dooley, made for many challenges .

Not only did the team add a second car for 2006 but also hired a new crew chief in Gary Henry, just a few races into the season. But things seem to be turning around for the team, something which has lead to a significant change.

“We will be headed to Canada with one less car in the trailer” explained Tim Dooley. “We have chosen to sell the Cavalier and focus our efforts on Mike's GTO. The cavalier is an excellent car as are all RJ Race cars but Mike and I chose to maximize the value of the Cavalier at this point and concentrate on Mike's efforts.”

The Cavalier, which has already been sold., will be picked up by the new owner this week.

A meeting has been set up with chassis builder, Rick Jones, to discuss the time frame which can be expected in building a new car for Tim to use as a replacement for the Cavalier. “The Sonny's power out of Cavalier will be kept as a spare and might just find duty very soon.”

Team leader, Mike Bruno, is very close to breaking through the performance barrier as crew chief, Gary Henry, is slowly dialing in the teams 2006 GTO. “Gary feels we are just a gram or two away from going to the top” exclaimed a very enthusiastic Tim Dooley. The team will focus on just one car in Toronto which is expected to pay off greatly. “Once we're dialed in there then we can think about a new car!!”

Stay tuned. This weekend may very well be an eye opening experience for anybody who lines up against Mike Bruno and the Bruno and Dooley Racing GTO!
