.......wake up temp was 1 degree, warming up to a bamly 8 degree's. I haven't heard what the temp is with wind chill factor, but looks like it will get even colder for the rest of the week, yahooooo...............

Went out for the last race of the year here in Tucson today - was in the lanes and just had Emmett suit up for the first run of the day at 11AM when the sky cracked open and dumped rain at 3200' ele. and snow at elevations over 7000 feet. Needless to say, this year is done...:(

Rain in the hills and snow on the mountains this week, and we're not making it out of the 50's this week.. yuck...:p

Just left the Boston area yesterday. Hundreds of thousands without power, including SunnySide Diner So much for starting my day off with Sam's power breakfast! (The woman sitting on the inside of the booth, Jackee, owned her own diner for over 25 years and just retired from Sam's due to losing her hearing. That's a permanently affixed grin.)

Was driving down a street and a line of ice fell in between the front of my truck and the car in front of me. Crews were up there smacking the lines and timing it so the ice would fall between vehicles on the road. Pretty good timing!

Sitting in Gary, Indiana tonight and the wind is moving the truck around pretty good. Crappy weather the last two weeks!

Woke up to-7 and -30 wind chill. Had to shovel the driveway since we got 3-4" of snow. Since Suzi does daycare, the driveway has to be cleared before any families/children arrive. So that means being out there before 6am. Holy frozen tundra Batman! That wind cut right through me. Not a great way to start the day.

Right now it is -7 at Thunder Mountain. And just think....5 short months ago it was 98 degrees at the Mile high Nationals! There's no nitro in the air up here today........

Martin...
You're not suppose to signal 'marginal thinking' with a smiley face....

you do remember 'marginal thinking'?

d'kid
still read MAD when I can find it

Reminds me of living in Grand Rapids. I swear, the snow plow bast*rds would sit around the corner waiting for you to finish shoveling so they could put you a nice, 2 foot wall of snow at the edge of your driveway.

I flew out of Vegas yesterday morning, but yesterday afternoon they got 4-5 inches of snow!!!! I have lived in Vegas since '94 and that is probably double the amount of snow for the entire 14 years I have lived there. I am glad I was not there to drive in it ... things get nutty in Vegas when it sprinkles rain ... I can't imagine driving there on snow ...
