Brittany Force Retiring

Krista doesn't have any cash, but Josh Hart does, and he's bringing R&L Carriers with him. It'll be announced by SEMA. Wait for it!
So do you believe Hart will be driving the Brittany Force car, or driving his former car under Elite ownership?

Nothing wrong with Hart’s driving but from a marketing perspective, that would be a big drop off from Brittany. After all, it’s a business and the object of the sponsorship is look at me, look at me.

Well if you bring your own major sponsor, marketability is less of an issue. Yes I'm sure they'd want/need to sell more sponsorships besides R+L, and in general the more marketable a driver is the better. But a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush, and Hart apparently comes with a decent size bird in his hand.

makes you wonder who prompted who? although josh's 2026 has yet to be announced, there were three teams announcing
2026 plans almost simultaneously. i'm wondering if one person had a plan and sold it to the others? or all three moves just sort
of happened at the right time?

My guess would be there was enough chatter in the pits that all parties at least had an idea they might be able to solve everyone's problems once things were in motion. Perhaps there was a rumor that Brittany was wanting to step out and JFR wouldn't mind keeping the operation going but would need not only a driver but a good chunk of the funding, a rumor that Hart was getting burnt out on the owner-operator thing and wouldn't mind a chance to just drive for someone else's good team, and a rumor that Elite was still interested in getting into TF if the right opportunity came along. And of course everyone knew Stewart would need a seat somewhere and probably isn't a good fit at JFR. There may or may not have been formal agreements in place beforehand, but I think this was at least the expected outcome (assuming Hart does end up at JFR).

So we know R+L is sticking with Josh, but is Monster leaving JFR? If not, why wouldn't JFR pick up say Jordan Vandergriff and keep going with the current sponsors (Monster and Hendrickcars)?? If Monster is leaving, the Josh idea makes sense, but if Monster is staying, it doesn't make so much sense.

Because some money is good. More money is BETTER.
Well it also depends how much space each sponsor wants on the car. If R+L wants the whole car all the time, that wouldn’t leave room for Monster. But R+L may not have funds for a full sponsorship of a Force car vs what Josh charged.

Does anyone know how much monster pays

Monster may want exposure in certain markets and R&L others. Hendricks also sponsors the car at certain tracks.

I'm amazed how so many people who have never met or talked to Josh seem to be surprised that he would be the one to occupy the seat of the teams top fuel car. He is a
personable guy when you talk with him in person, An excellent driver that's very solid on the tree and bringing a seven digit sponsor with him. And now that it has been announced that Tony Stewart is driving the Elite car and reportedly has financial skin in that operation, the picture is clearer.
