BIR 2026 (4 Viewers)

looking for opinions and thoughts regarding lucas oil stepping away from the BIR race sponsorship.
- lucas oil always said the race gave them exposure to canadien customers and retailers. do current tariffs present a problem
with us/canada commerce in their field of automotive liquids?
- or did lucas oil simply do 20+ years with the event and decided to move on? still aligned with the winternationals.
did nhra raise the rent? so lucas said, ok we'll do the winters but not brainerd?
- although it is only nhra drag racing (not mn wild/vikings/twins/timberwolves), the event is most likely the highest attended
sporting event annually in the state (counting everyone on property for better part of 1.5 weeks). you would think someone would
want to attach their name to this event? if even as a presenting sponsor?

disheartening to see a long time sponsor go, and now left with the very generic logo 'brainerd nationals'. they can't even put
'northstar' back in name. 😒

I wonder if the term “ Northstar” has been trademarked.
