I pretty sure that his car is "off the showroom" so to speak. Most of the full time Super Stock racers are as smart as Nitro Crew Chiefs. ;)
 
I'm sure someone knows the exact stats, but to my memory, it has taken an .87 under the index or better to crack the top 128 in Super Stock & Stock. Unreal the amount under the index just to qualify. However, he still could make the big show by winning his class & bumping his way into the final qualified field.

Anyone know how he stacks up against the rest of the A/SA's? Does he have a legitimate shot at winning class?

I counted 17
Qualified 1st , 2nd, 4th, 5th, 6th
then scattered after that.
Im sure there is plenty of people their, that will be more than happy to help Big get it tuned up :)

NOT ANY MORE !! It's qualify on time or go home the quickest 128 make eliminations. Class Winners are no longer inserted into the field.:(
And he has no chance of winning class anyway....
 
Unfortunately he's not going to get in. He's outside the top 128 and if he could get inserted by winning the A/SA class elims. it would be a long shot. His best time is 10.43 so he would have to get reeeeealll lucky considering there are 5 cars in the class that have run 10.05 or better. No go for Big Daddy.
 
That's really a bummer, but, that's racing. On the other hand, I think it's awesome that he was there actually competing and trying to make the show. I'm sure the Stock eliminator cars are among the most scienced out cars racing, since they have the most limitations.
 
And Big Daddy's 2009 Indy is over on Day two. :(

Gotta give props to cutting a .007 light though!! Fletch must have LOVED lining up against him!

Sucks he didn't get in but he sure did good on the tree. It was so cool seeing him run at Cordova last weekend in that car.
 
He still strapped a 007 light on Fletcher...and "Big" is 77 years old.I think once Big gets the computer dialed in,he will do well.
