Sucks to see them part ways after 30 years. I was always a fan of Anheuser-Busch (hell, I'm distantly related) but after the sale to InBev, and now this, I won't buy their stuff.

Man that sucks KB and BB are my favorite top fuel racers but as the agent said, wasn't a surprise considering inbev's history with sports marketing but still sucks non the less. If anyone can find another sponsor though its KB. Hopefully his next sponsor can last even half the time bud stayed. One wonders if they'll stay the official beer of NHRA though

Never been a big Bernstein fan but it sucks to hear that a long time sponsor is leaving the sport. :o I'm sure Kenny will have no trouble finding a replacement.

What beer is left that

A. Supports motorsports

B. Is American owned

Are there any? I may have to go on the wagon NOT

Sadly not a surprise but what a bummer.

.........B. Is American owned...........

coors

am really glad to see the bersteins and budweiser doing this year's 30th tour;
i think they could have easily cut it off at 29; kudo's to in-bev for staying
with it this year - 30 years is incredible.

brent b. - your conservative posturing when posting
in the 'politics' section is in stark constrast to your statement regarding
your decision to not purchase a brand based on corporate financial decisions.

Man I hate this! My bet is they are holding up some $$$ to put some more $$$ behind a really great running NASCAR team in 2010.

It just sucks you know what!!

As much as it sucks, I look at 2 things.

A. They lasted 30 years.
B. They let them know now instead of November, or weeks before the season starts like some others have done.

If a sponsor has to go out, at least go out the right way, and in this case, I think they did.

Mike...

It's now MOLSON-Coors.

Please note which name comes first in that merger/partnership. It ISN'T the AMERICAN one.

PBR me ASAP I guess now

Did some quick research on the biggest American owned brewery. This is what I found.

Pabst Brewing Co. doesn't operate breweries anymore, but
it wants to be the first choice for every red-blooded American beer
drinker. The company, which owns dozens of beer brands and contracts with
MillerCoors LLC to create most of its brews, is staking its claim as the
largest remaining American-owned beer maker.

Kenny Bernstein is the driver who has treated me the worst, on more than one occasion (eliminating the "he was just havin' a bad day" defense). While it’s doubtful I’ll adopt Budweiser as my beer-of-choice (I drink Mickey’s Big-Mouths), it’s nice that I no longer need to avoid it…

The ugly sponsorship losses are an unfortunate trend. I will not stop drinking Bud because they quit sponsoring the Bernsteins. Instead I will thank them for supporting the best form of automobile racing that I have had the privilege of watching for a number of years.

Thanks Budweiser for your support for 30 plus years!

BTW Stella's is pretty good beer!! :D
