It was a very interesting weekend, we shook SO HARD in qualifying, that on one pass, it sheared off the blower studs and lifted the super charger.
Track temp on Fri & Sat was around 90, Sunday first round 138
I short shifted against Burke and I saw that he blew up, the front of my car was about to his rear wheel well when we went through the traps, but I killed a little over a tenth by short shifting when the car started shimmying (sp?) for several hundredth's of a second.
We missed you there Kelly
Thanks again!! We just got back and I have a lot to do.
I missed being there too, Nancy! In fact, I also missed a 'friend' racing the dirt track just across the way. I'd like to thank my family members that caused my son's birthday party to run late because THEY were late! Grrrrr.....
Congrats Nancy. Looking at the results on NHRA's website, without the RT's shown, it would appear you treed your first round opponent and lost a close one in the semis (just like you said when you short shifted). Looks like you and Jeremy got the car sorted out after the problems at the National event in Baytown.
You know Randy, I think I forgot that for about a half a second, cost us a final round appearance. But that's okay, we came home without hurting anything but blower studs. We're double checking the chassis though, lots a shake, and not the yummy kind.
Been super busy. I was going to Topeka but my uncle was in a horrible accident about 3 weeks ago and my Dad needs my help in a bad way. Hopefully we can get everything done in time - countdown is on - 85 days and counting.
