Baseball is on!

the game was in extra innings, kinda hard to fault them there

Not just baseball, Super Regional action on the road to Omaha. As long as the racing was shown in its entirety, I had no issues with it. It was a night for 12 innings, it also took that many for ASU to pull out a win against Arkansas.

the coolest thing on the qualifying broadcast was showing footage from Steve Bell & Dave Milcarek of the 1974 Summernationals Funny Car Final that Lewis was talking about in Chicago (using a Jungle Jim Diecast to simulate it) with the Jungle Jim wheelstand Vs Al Segrini. Great to see such moment somehow exist.

Bob Frey called your name at least a half dozen times to report to the tower this morning.

Yeah what Gordon said, during first round they must have called you to the tower 5 times. Gordon, congrats on the reenlistment, it was cool they announced it on Saturday.

hahaha yeah that was funny, heard it a bunch of times. PS - I was at the kalittas at about 935 this morning -- were you guys there or did i miss you?

I didn't go on Sunday, I went home instead, I talked to Alan Sat Night telling him I wasn't going to be there Sunday. I'm surprised Alan didn't give the word to Bob or Graham.

It probably had to do with the Neal Parker Crash footage that I have which I talked to Alan about on Sat Night.

I didn't get to the track until 10:30, I was a little groggy after a night out on the town.

Thanks, Paul - it was an awesome time. Bob Wilber, Tim Wilkerson and the entire team were incredibly accomodating. You can read about it in Bob's Blog in NHRA.com. ESPN2 even showed a piece on NHRA RaceDay - I am incredibly humbled.

Not to derail the thread, but you were asking me a few weeks ago about the cost to ship a car and parts over seas. Densham doesn't have to pick up the tab so he wasn't sure but he thought it was around $2,600.00 for a container and Grant Downing said he thought it was around $2,600.00 to $2,800.00.
