Back running in Brainerd....

I have an old High school friend who lives 7 mi. from the track, she says she can hear them from her house!

What a strange day. Starting 30 mins late, almost 1 hour to run TF first round, rain for a 3 hr delay. Wow Whats next ? PS Erica losing with a .000 light . I don't know .....

Two top dragsters just crashed on the same run. One driver got out under his own power the other last the camera showed the safety safari having to use the jaws of life. Hope he's OK.

My friend was in a party wagon last night and said they ran someone over. He said it was pretty bad, anyone know anything?

Why did they choose to finish the event at Indy instead of today? Is the weather outlook really bad?

It started drizzling just after the t/f final and it drizzled all night, and then had a pretty hard downpour about 5:30 am this morning. Lights would not have made any difference, they still could not have finished the racing last night.

Nobody was run over. Driver Don Kritzky was flown to a local hospital with some broken bones. Thats latest info I have.
No, not track / race related. This was in the zoo after racing was all done. One of the party wagons may have run someone over. I didn't see what happened, just my friends first hand account.

never heard about the party wagon nick....the top dragster crash was ugly, glad to hear he will be ok.
can't believe morgan pulled it off again.....yesterday's weather sucked rite from the start.....first round TF with two very long
cleanups.......long day full of delays but when they ran how can you complain about a 3.729 and top speeds well over 325.

NHRA blew it. They could have finished the race in Brainerd on Monday. It was cloudy and humid but not raining for most of the day. They could have taken a chance for one day!

a win is a win, especially 3 in a row, but it would just be dumb luck that jason line will win 3rd in a row, his first and most sought
after victory, a brainerd win, and he will be in indy and will not have the home town track, friends and relatives all there
to celebrate with

Three accidents in the zoo Sat.

Later Saturday, at 9:12 p.m., a 57-year-old man from Jainsville, Wis., was attempting to hitch a ride by a "Party Wagon" trailer at BIR, when he fell under the trailer and was run over. Paul G. Botsford was transported to the Brainerd hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Sounds like it was no big deal.
