BTW Alan, I don't know if you said a thousand of a second or 1 ten-thousands of a second and trying to explain that to someone. A thousand of a second is how long it takes sound to travel 13.2 inches, so that a ten-thousand of a second is how long it takes sound to travel about 1 and 1/3 inches (a little less, but a little more than 1/5/16 inches).
