Its a neighbor issue, Jesse...

And Yesterday, I ammended this active thread to acknowledge the (hopefully temporary) closing of Fontana, but Mark Clayton felt that the info may get missed, so he started another thread about another So Cal Drag Strip closing... Two threads, same problem.

Martin, your saying it's a neighbor issue like another company by the track or a residential area. This is really getting bad for the racing community and our local High School kids here and all over the country that need a place to compete. Wasn't that the reason that Penske open the Drag Strip originally?

Doesn't the France Family and ISC own California Speedway? Hey NHRA, fix this mess and I will even come to Pomona on Sunday.

When I went to the link I had to use search ( street racing) then click on car to beat, sick the way they make it look like a way to make money on the street without the mention of the danger to everyone there or in the wrong place when one of these idiots loses it. Wally has to be rolling in his grave watching what has happened to his and our NHRA

I was informed that Speedway was sold awhile back to the France family organization so where are they on this issue. The Drag Strip was originally built so Street Racers had a safe place to run their cars and it seem to work pretty well. Just like Kansas City there's no place to go now but back to the streets, wonder what the residents will complain about then.

Six active railroad tracts, large Freight Company next to your homes, come on people.
