Brad, not according to the guy who runs Kern last weekend.

Lets just keep in mind tracks like Banning, Santa Maria, and many others were all just rumors that never happened but "oh the started building yesterday"

The track at Banning is now the track at Parris Fairgrounds and Santa Maria is not dead, just stuck in an economical evaluation stage.

Word at Famoso today is that the Kern County Raceway will not be adding a drag strip as they currently have multiple events scheduled every weekend there and there is no room to expand for the extra pit parking. Looking at the aerial image, it seems that is the case.

Gino, The track at Perris is hardly what was planned at Banning and I guess until the day you leave us You'll say Santa Maria is still alive. Economical evaluation means HOLY CRAP THIS COSTS A LOT OF MONEY!
