Annual Indy Top Dragster scramble is about to begin (3 Viewers)

According to the rulebook: "The use of throttle stops, stutter boxes, etc. to control downtrack engine RPM is prohibited."
I know that many/most use the timing grid to soften them up off the starting line. but other than a starting line enhancer I don't believe that anything can control the throttle opening.

Thanks Alan, just trying to know about class👍

I've been checking the Indy entry list. After briefly hitting 45 entries for a couple days last week, there are currently 44.

It would be cool to watch 44 try to make a 32 car field. We'll see what the list does during the next 2 weeks. Still estimating the final list will be 35, but hope that's an incorrect guess.

Right? I would even consider watching every session in that case!

Final entry list has 38. Down 20% from the high water mark a couple weeks ago, but still a new Indy record. Will it be an all-teen field?
