Great stuff. Sounds like he really misses drag racing.

I think he's right about racing fan loyalty vs football fan loyalty. Stick and ball sports definately have a "But what have ya done for me lately???" mentality..

It would be great if he could manage to put something together &see him get back into a car.

I got into trouble in my 6th grade art class for drawing Dan Pastorini's Coors Light dragster in class for a project. Mind you, it was a Catholic School and they deemed the subject matter inappropriate for my age group.

PS as a lifelong Bengals fan, I wasn't a fan of Pastorini when he played in the league ... stupid Oilers. But I thought it was very cool in my 12 year old mind that he went top fuel racing ... still do now.
