Allen Johnson's New Car?

Yes, it's a Dart and there was a picture of the body mold posted a few weeks ago.

Here we go again. A Hemi 4door Dart that looks like a 2door sport coupe.
Is this NEW AGE return of the, Tijuana Taxi ?
It's about as STOCK looking and similar to the show room cars as in the past.
Why not run an Allison in a Isetta. LOL

funny, it seems like dart buyers would more likely be at home watching nhra on TV while challenger buyers
mite be more likely to be a ticket buyer and attend a race......hopefully mopar will put more $$ into television
adds and ask for more features with allen & jeg on the nhra broadcasts (help fund the shows if you will).
i just don't see many folks crowding around a dart display at the track.

I think the Dart buyers would be more likely be watching YouTube than NHRA on TV, but I digress ;)

I was stuck in traffic near a Dart this morning, not an especially bad looking little car, but it is going to look NOTHING like the original car by the time they stretch and bulge that tiny little hood to fit in a Pro Stock Hemi...

Maybe it's time to rename pro stock to factory experimental. Limit the body choices to Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers. Limit the engines to 500ci and allow fuel injection. Just my two cents....

Speaking of size, Do you guys remember the Pro Stock Colts? They were not exactly school buses!

I actually race a 72 dodge colt ex pro stock with a friend in brackets around the Portland area. If I knew how to post pictures I would oh it now had a big block chev in it

I'm happy with the fact that MOPAR is continuing to put development into NHRA racing at all. In the current economic climate that surrounds the racing industry as a whole, bad enough that Dodge even pulled out of NASCAR, I'll live with a little bit of exaggerated body styling for continued support of NHRA drag racing (and Pro Stock).

Dart buyers are going to be at the local hipster club smoking the latest in E- Cigs.

Challanger buyers' are going be shoping at Walmart or the PX on the local military base.

Its not about selling cars as much as it is about winning championships.

Does DRS have Challanger bodied F/C's? Nope.

I doubt there will be any spy photos as Mopar is making a big deal debuting the car at Gainesville.

EXACTLY!! Not sure why after all of these years of these cars looking virtually nothing like the production models we STILL get hung up on the name of the class...

Just happy there is still factory support...

Unless he's testing at Bradenton a few days before the Gators. I'm debating on whether to call in sick on the 11th or 12th and spend the day at Bradenton ;)

You better go now because they are testing in Bradenton today (and I believe some more this week).

The Dart buyer is far more in tune with Global Rallycross.
