Only 1 round today. Here are the killers: T/AD #1 Shawn Cowie, monster 5.152 281.54. I think this is 2nd quickest ever on alky, behind Joey Severance 5.12 a few months back. #2 is Matthew Cummings 5.198 280.08. Is this a blown alky car or an A/FD? OK, TA/FC. #1 our own Sean Bellemeur 5.425 261,62. Hmmm, speed a bit off. Are we looking at a 5.3 something next round? #2 is Annie Whiteley 5.429 274.00. Wow, that is hauling the mail. First 6 cars are 5.49 or quicker. Some busted runs in F/C, & more busted runs in dragster. If the weather is good tomorrow.......

Great to see some of the local guys run well. Career best times for Kyle Smith and Mark Billington.

Cowie has gone quicker. That was the third quickest. It looked like Sean had an engine expire which is why the MPH was down. Looking at the numbers he probably would have ran a 5.40. Marshall had his car set to kill but shook. The conditions were prime time! Cumming’s is running an A/Fueller.

Matt Cummings is driving Rich McPhillips car (the car that T.J. Coughlin drove the last couple of years)

Shawn Cowie's 281.54 is the fastest ever by a Blown car.

Thanks Alan. I think Joey Severence ran 281 earlier this year (?) so wasn't sure about Cowie's MPH. Man, this could turn into a slug fest. Some really good cars in both Alky classes.

Round two today:

OK, Alky finals. 90 degrees, 50% humidity, adjusted altitude 3668', track temp 109 degrees. With all this, Megan Meyer wins T/AD at 5.126 279.04. Low ET of the meet. Wow...... TA/FC won by Doug Gordon with a nice 5.483 267.98 (beat Sean Bellemeur in the final). Am really impressed with Megan's 5.126 in those conditions. So, Houston is sea level & if the temps are down......

Who ever writing on this post forgot one major person Megan Meyer who took ,home the big Wally today. She see then Vegas or where they seem to to go. Thank you

Scary situation with Julie Nataas late Saturday night in the second round. Throttle stuck on the burnout and was still stuck pretty far down into the shutdown area. Thankfully she got is shut off and stopped without any damage to the car or herself.
