? about money

Are all national events required to have the same payout, or could a track owner pay more? For example, $100,000 to win in the nitro classes.

Are sportsmen payouts required to be the same at all national races? For example, if an owner at a national event track wanted to pay the top alcohol classes, say $30,000 to win and bump up the payouts down the line, would NHRA allow it?

Thank you, Sean. I wonder what NHRA's thought process is for making payouts the same everywhere?

I'd guess a TAFC costs more than a dirt late model, or winged sprint car, but those guys race for upwards of $50k several times a year, a lot more in some cases.

If you read about what Roger Brogdon had to do for the NHRA in order to get the Rooftec Comp Bonus going, you would understand. It was outlined on Inside Comp Racing, but that website doesn't exist anymore, so unless he also posted it on Facebook, I'm not sure where to get that information now.
