$250m lawsuit Justin Humphries/ Dart ?

Just saw that RaceRedi sued Dart Machinery for $250 million back in June 08. Anybody hear what the deal is or if its been settled ?

Huge fallout between Maskin and the Humphries family is all I know about it...Its real hush hush.

$250 Million!?!?!?!? I also would like to see a link.

How was that ridiculous figure arrived at (assuming that figure is correct)? This time last year you could have bought the entire NHRA and 5 member tracks for HALF that figure. You could lease Pro Stock engines for the next 100 years at that rate.

I understand that things sometimes don't work out in business and lawyers get involved ... but I can't imagine ANY scenario in Pro Stock that could amount to that figure.

Who knows what Dart Machinery is actually comprised of? When you produce your own blocks and heads, what else might you be producing for other industries? I have a friend who is doing a decent volume of CNC milling/parts producing work for the government and you'd never guess by the looks of things outside.

Maybe $250 million is just a fluff number to give him something nice to drop back to.

Dick gets sued all the time, and he sues people all the time. Nothing new there. In the last few years he has either sued/been sued by: Humprheys (raceredi), Billy Glidden, Big 0, Benza, and some others that I cant remember I'm sure. I'm still shocked that Yates is back with him now considering how there deal ended.
