Hope to see John Force this weekend. In the video he made before Vegas he said he was cleared to go to both races, Pomona is even closer than Las Vegas.

stockers should be in the lanes.
looks like 4 days of dry, somewhat cool, so-cal beautiful weather.
Yes, should be very typical NHRA Finals weather. Cool mornings, nice mid-'70's days, and back to jacket weather in the stands for the late afternoon sessions. It can get chilly at Pomona in the stands in the late afternoons, when the sun gets low and the afternoon breeze picks up from the west. Looking forward to attending all day Sat, and maybe Sunday too.

I watched the top alcohol session on NHRA.tv. The top end view was pretty cool. I wish they could do a few of those during the nitro session.

tony, was it a drone? or a fixed camera? IMO unique camera angles/views are great.

Fixed camera.

Yes, I like those as well. It would be cool if NHRA.tv offered the ability to choose certain camera positions.

I'd to see one at the turn off where you can see the drivers get out of the cars.

One along the wall about 500 feet past the finish line.

Another at around half track at grandstand level, like Bangshift use to do.

So when Nhra.tv shows drivers getting out of the cars is that a Fox camera?

Ryan McClanahan is 21 pts. behind cooter in SS. cooter is not racing at pomona. (can't claim?) surprised he's not there to block.
I think McClanahan needs to make it to rnd 5 to pass cooter? Ryan is into round 3 already,
if i'm looking at SS bracket correctly, i almost looks like Ryan may have a bye in round 3 putting him into round 4.
what a big round that will be!!

It's unusually cool at Pomona today, with partly cloudy (or is it partly sunny?) conditions. It will hard for the fuel cars to get ahold of the track, especially for the 2nd Q session. But if they don't rattle the tires, there could be some very quick runs.

What Crew Chief can we think of that has the best cool weather tune-up?

I checked in twice so far today on NHRATV and racing was on hold for rain both times.

Well, yes. Jimmy Prock of course. I think Prock has proven that at least this year, he has the best tune-up for just about all weather and track conditions.
Fact of the matter is, they haven’t been flat outrun and beaten since the semi final in Sonoma.

I think a 3.80 is out there if they can get over the bumps clean, and it runs out the back. It’s going to need a 2.19/2.20 at the 330, and 3.07 at 292ish at the 660 to get there.

wonder if mtn. tops had enough snow to be visible this afternoon? classic pomona look, although typically for the winters.

They were supposed to get snow today, but the cloud ceiling is so low at the moment that you can't see the peaks.
