I could be wrong but I think the push is to get many of those competitiors into factory x next year with those wanting to stick with Factory Stock cars running in stock
Just wondering, if Flying H Drag Strip does get a national event on the July 12-14 date, can NHRA still call it
the Western Swing. Seattle is the next weekend and the last time I checked Odessa, Missouri was in the Midwest.
Odessa to the front door of Pacific Raceway is 1,868.4 mi or 27 hr nonstop drive. I guess they can still call it the
swing with just Seattle and Sonoma.
without adding another event in the summer, nhra has a hole in the schedule either way. if the TBD race holds the july date, it will be first of three consecutive weekends,
leaving 3 weeks off between sonoma and brainerd, then another two till indy. or in other words, 4 events in the months of july and august. not a bad thing i suppose.
seems like it would easier to run sonoma and seattle back to back, then a week off, then run flying H and BIR back to back?
