Jason Line and the Summit Racing team rebounded from an uncharacteristic performance on Friday to power their way into the field during the final day of qualifying for the NHRA Summer Nationals in Topeka, Kansas. TOPEKA, Ks. – Steve Chrisman made the long drive to Topeka from Anaheim, Calif., intent on making the 16-car Top Fuel lineup for Sunday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Summer Nationals at Heartland Park, and he did.

TOPEKA, Kan. – Greg Stanfield’s first-round race Sunday against Vincent Nobile is important despite the fact this is the seventh of 22 NHRA’s Full Throttle Drag Racing Series events.

Stanfield came into the Summer Nationals tied with Nobile for fourth in points (420), and eager to make up for the points he missed out on after a rare first-round loss last week at Atlanta. Chris Davis wins Pro Comp Event in Yakima

For the first time in over two years, a Pro Comp event featuring blown alcohol dragsters and funny cars was contested at Renegade Raceway in Yakima, Washington on May 6. Chilly May weather made the event a driver's race as 12 blown alcohol cars made the call for the first round. The finals saw Chris Davis' front engine entry 4.54 beat out Matt Driscole's 4.66. Driscole was behind the wheel of a blown alcohol funny car.
