Ya know..I don't mind a fender bender..but when death is the end result..I could do without..sh!t!

I've seen my share at Knoxville Raceway. Saw Gary Scott get decapitated with his 4 yr old watching on the front stretch..and I didn't attend a race for 5 yrs.

Geez..the internet sucks on occasion. To highlight this stuff is low blow.

Sorry Dave, the Best local Sprint car racer ever from Albuq. (Buddy Taylor) was decapitated at Mazanita back in '78. I'm glad I never experienced anything like that! He's now in the Sprint car hall of fame in Knoxville.

The Blaine Johnson crash was by far the Worst accident I had ever experienced in person. You never forget that stuff...

Stan Fox's from '95 was amazing!

YouTube - 1995 - Indianapolis 500 Stan Fox's Crash

And so was this one! This is a Crash tape!

YouTube - Unbelievable Crashes 5

I was there when Stan Fox crashed. It was truly amazing. We sat in the short chute between turns 1 and 2. We first heard the squeal of tires, then tires and debris flying everywhere. We lost sight of Stan's car as it was sliding too close to the wall for us to see until he slid away from the wall entering turn 2. What's really amazing is he survived that crash but was killed in a passenger car in New Zealand (I think) a couple years later.
Michael Andretti led that race for a while. I got up to get a pretzel and heard those famous words.......Andretti slows on the backstretch. At least Mo Guegelmin (spelling?) didn't win it. He led for a while too.
