It is really sad to realize that there is only that few of us that experienced 95 % or more of this are still around. My friend Fritz Voight - Mickey's Side kick and Right Hand man had a little different angle on the 55 Finals but said until the day he died that he won that race 3 times in a row but knew there would be a "Do Over" until Calvin won. I remember those changes as well as it wasn't the same a lot of the time depending on if you were at an NHRA - AHRA or Inependant track. Also some of the time cars were "Bought" in and qualifying would continue until the "Right" cars qualified. Stiil wouldn't trade it for anything because of what we were able to experience and live. I don't remember a whole lot about the broken bones or fires or crashes but the Tropheys (or not) made it all worth it.Bob
