Well said Steven. There wasn't a dry eye at our house. Congratulations to Brandon and the entire JFR team.

Here comes the "Brat Pack"
I have a feeling, these youngsters have all the tools to continue to compete at the top for years to come but with Eric's loss from their "Pack" these kids may just have the motivation to take over the next generation before long.

That was one of the more emotional final rounds I have seen in awhile. Congrats to Brandon and Robert, with the way their cars ran this weekend this could be a common occurrence this year.

You can say that history repeats itself. After the Dale Earnhardt incident, I believe the next race, his teamate Steve Park won the event. At Las Vegas, Robert Hight wins on his return to the races. A big win for the John Force Racing team!

What an emotional final round. Impossible to have dry eyes after those top-end interviews.

wow!
congrats to the team
i saw robert win, and the tears just fell out of my eyes
and brandon, and i know he he was going to be emotional before he won, good job guys!

I'm proud to be a Drag Racing fan and that the future of our beloved sport are in capable hands with this next generation which will always include Eric!
:)

what a great win for brandon and robert today. emotional but so happy to see them win. eric was looking down at both of then today. i guess its morgan and ashleys turn in atlanta hopefully!

Yup, same here. Ya know, Bobby Miller is right. The Brat Pack has all the tools and now they have the motivation. I think the "next generation" is here.
I guess it's Morgan Lucas and Ashley's turn next.

A Hollywood script writer could not have written a better ending to a race than the one we seen this afternoon. I have been involved in this sport for 49 years and have never seen a more emotional event. Great job to all involved.:)

I don't think I've ever been so content with a Capps loss in the final.

Congrats to both Robert and Brandon!

Yes...the outcome was awesome for team Force..
There have been similiar outcomes by others:

Gwynn injured (paralyzed) in 90 and Hawley winning in their first race.
Blaine Johnson incident and Scelzi winning in their first race.
S.Howard incident and Torrance winning in their first race.

Muldowney's near death crash and return w/ an almost pole position...

Many more just can't remember em all...

Yes..this was one of the most emotional races I can remember watching in a while...I was a little misty eyed at the final. Also on saturday I was watching qualifying at one of my buddies house...when they interviewed John & Ashley...we were all a little teary...was very emotional. Congrats to Robert & Brandon.. youg uys (and JR) were all class acts at the final.
