I want to give a shout out to Alan Reinhart for a great job on the mic during the fuel categories. Also, if you haven't heard Dennis Taylor's commentary during the alcohol categories you are missing out. He really explains things clearly with many informative facts.

Well we could hear if NHRA would get the damn audiocast to work (for those of us that are not in attendance).

I agree both those guys have some awesome commentary and would say along the same lines as listening to likes of Big Mac, Big himself, Frey when he was working, and man who can forget Leo. It is nice to see that guys like Alan & Dennis have the mindset to provide a great take on things without making it about themselves.

Alan IS the McClelland of the NHRA now, at least for me. Frey's commentary is missed as much as Dave's and Steve Evans'.....thankfully he is enjoying retirement

Nothing better than walking up to the grandstands in Pomona on a Thursday morning with a cup of coffee in my hand and hearing Alan calling the super stock time trials. You can tell he really gets it. Also, I really enjoyed Brian Lohnes(sp?) calling stock and super stock at Indy. In no other sport, IMHO, is the announcer so integral to what is happening on the field/track.
