Tim Wilkerson smoked the tires just off the starting line in qualifying session No. 1, here in sunny Las Vegas. He then came back in Q2, with the giant grandstand offering the track some shade after blistering it all afternoon, and Wilk poured the power to the track with a strong 4.108 at 310.63 mph. Unfortunately, the car also detonated a motor right at the finish line, knocking the blower off...
