Tony Stewart's presence and both his pro program and TAD performance have the potential to get more eyes on the sport. I'd love to see some type of NASCAR/NHRA cross partnership. Incidentally, this idea could also work with Indy Car, WoO, and other forms.

Perhaps an NHRA fan wouldn't ordinarily go to an Indy Car road race or NASCAR race, but maybe the time is right more cooperation between racing disciplines.

Hopefully the powers that be can intelligently capitalize on the marketing potential even as Bandimere and other facilities shut down.

Nah, I'd just prefer NASCAR stay in their own world. Nothing but trouble/problems to be gained from any type of partnership them. Shoot as slick as they are, they'd rip off NHRA and NHRA wouldn't have a clue.

Frankly, I hate NASCAR. Would rather see something with just about any other racing organization than them.

I would steer clear of being directly involved with NASCAR. Their involvement with the IRL and Bernie Ecclestone's involvement with World Sportcar Championship racing is enough reason.

I remember Shirley Muldowney saying NASCAR gets all the good sponsor $$$,
And we get the left overs.

Tony chose great people to make up the teams, then had the patience to let them gel into winners. He's an excellent leader and motivator.

Brent...I completely agree with you...pretty sharp guy..........But....What I really want to know is...How does a meathead like him get such a babe for a wife......Lucky guy.....

$$ money talks. It's not a news flash that a big wallet attracts many women.

I think it is fascinating that he remained single his whole life (as far as I know), and it wasn't until he came over to our neighborhood (NHRA drags) that he met a woman he wanted to marry. I have to imagine he met many, many hot babes while in NASCAR. But he didn't marry any of them.

cross marketing sponsors on multiple cars is nothing new in nhra, but look at the cross marketing from nascar to nhra that TSR is
doing this year. many different wraps on leah and matt's vehicles this year......maybe these company's competitors are taking notice and seeing tony
giving them exposure to the nascar AND nhra audiences.

Right you are! Women look for that bulge in a guy's pants - the bulge of their right rear pocket!
