Have you ever noticed while watching several of the other forms of motorsports' TV coverage - the pit reporters wear cute little drivers' suits withe the network's logo all over them? Indy, Champ and NASCAR all do it. Is that really nessecary?? Can't be comfortable in the hot sun. Would you like to see Gary G. & Dave R. in one of those get-ups on ESPN2???? :D

Try this.

Jos Verstappen pit fire

Many of those series require flame-retardant clothing in the hot pits.

Even if that is the reason, it still looks silly watching a reporter that's trying to look like a driver...especially when his sew-on patches have a TV network logo.

The only thing funnier is when old, fat baseball managers dress in uniform like their players. Bobby Cox (Atlanta Braves) is so overweight it's hilarious.
Don Zimmer (Cubs/Yankees) was a dandy as well. I guess they use polyester for the managers uniforms....!

No, I wouldn't like to see Gary or Dave in an imitation racesuit. But . . .
Jamie and Brianna (IRL pit reporters) are a whole different deal!!!!! :D
