Awesome shots!

You really can't put in perspective how visible that is from far away, but I lived in Orlando, and used to watch it launch from my backyard. Not quite THAT visible, but still could see quite well!

Jimmy!!! Those were some pretty cool shots there buddy! I have never seen a shuttle lift off, but will someday! Glad you had a chance to see that one!

We were about 6 miles away in Titusville. There was low cloud cover that night so it made for mixed viewing. It made for this neat looking shot where the clouds lit up:


But I would have loved to see the solid rocket boosters come off. I saw a Titan rocket launch in 2002 and had a clear night so we could see it go for what seemed like forever. I have friends up in Ocala and when it is clear they can see it from their house.

The shuttle program only has about 2 years left I believe, so be sure to plan on seeing one soon. Though I am sure what ever they get to replace it will be awsome too.
