You can't say they are leaving because of a lack of performance. How many championships in a row has Clay won? Also, Werner has received a lot more NHRA ink since Kenny bought the team. Hopefully, Kenny will find another sponsor for next year and hopefully they will run the whole NHRA tour.

They got what they wanted from the endeavor. Their trucks are rolling logos and I guess they have enough drivers, for now.

I never noticed a Werner truck till Clay started winning championships 5 years ago. I'd say they got their Sponsorship$$$$ worth out of that team!

I really think the whole Werner sponsorship was a win-win situation for both the team and the company! If I recall not many sponsors were getting involved with teams running IHRA only at the time, it was mainly independent teams besides Herbert,Romine, Litton. For Werner to sponsor an untried team with full backing was unbeleivable.
I'm really glad they are staying on at a smaller level at least.
