Yea but there's 2 sides to the coin. It's pretty much a very dead horse on here and while I think 99.9% agreed that's it's incredible that they can run what no run can buy, they re a team working within the NHRA rules and the finger can only be pointed at the NHRA. When they want to level it once and for all they will. The teams are playing a fairgame no matter how unfair the NHRA may tilt the odds.
The other side of the coin is that I know most fans would love it to never see an HD win again and will not be happy until that happens. It would not be right for that to happen just because the people who write the rules like it crooked; I feel the mishandling of the class is solely between HD and NHRA. not the teams. It would not be right to make them uncompetitive, but it would be nice for the NHRA to reprint a rule book for the class the favors all.

I'm an H-D fan, but not a fan of what's going on in PSM. I say if Vance and Hines H-D team can run a v-twin with 4 valves per head and overhead cams, all the teams running v-twins should be able to run the same combination.
I told you guys it should have been 40 lbs, not 20.
Brent- is the only way you would be happy if they were running a tenth behind the leaders? There have only been 2 sessions so far and a Buell led the first by 4 hun over the Harley and the second session they were within 1 hun in favor of the Harley. Looks close so far. Now the Harley's shouldn't open a can of whoop ass until the Countdown starts that way they won't get even more weight put on them.

Hadda laugh at the Krawic interview on Comp. plus-Eddie saying they win because they work harder--but yet said they did no practice runs since G'ville.

Like Sherman mentioned, how did they "dyno" 20 lbs, they didn't do any testing?
Like usual, they simply opened up the throttle stop a little further and dipped into their reserve of power. Since they're the only team with those engines only they know how much power they can make. IMO, they should be declared illegal until they start offering up the parts for sale like George Bryce had to do with the Buell's.

So if for example, Mopar decided the Hemi engine could only be used by a Mopar sponsored fuel team...that would be fair? Spending millions on the program is one thing, spending millions to buy the class is another.

Yep and the dead horse will keep breathing until HD and NHRA grows some balls and write an fair rulebook for the class. I admire V&H for what there doing cause I don't feel they write the rules or have a say.

David: I thought that the Hemi in every nitro car is so far removed from Mopar that they can say only that originally, they were Mopars back in the day!

Don't understand why you include HD in your 1st sentence. It's NHRA that cashes HD's checks AND writes the rulebook!!!

You or "we" don't have evidence of EXACTLY who it is writing the rulebook. I said before in the 1st marathon thread that I don't know if HD is saying, "here's a check now you do this" or if it's NHRA saying "well they give us x, we better give them an advantage on competition or maybe we won't get x." No matter what it is, it's wrong and Koretsky took a stand, LE has nothing and if it continues Kenny may not be the only guy. Personally I'm not of fan of what Kenny did, I think he should just rally with Bryce and not ruin a kid's career.

Kenny refuses to sponsor in the class because it's too much of an uphill battle.

Brent you have been following the sport for a long time, you know the money always rises to the top. No matter what the rules were/are, the Harley's and Lucas team will likely be at the top of the field because they have the best budget.

Lets give credit where credit is due. Lucas has been sponsoring Hector for many many years. (I think he was his 1st drag racing sponsorship) Back when Hector couldn't make a 16 bike field if only 15 other bikes showed up.
