Those V&H engines should have NEVER been allowed to run in the class! I notice George Bryce still hasn't been able to get his hands on one. ;)

I know you hate em. But to you and everyone else, until the day they pick up every possible season point, I don't wanna hear it. Why can't they be good, now it's cheating somehow. I hate that in this sport the second someone is really good, there cheating.

I'm waiting for someone to accuse Antron or Hagan of it now. For the record I also have Alan's side. Speaking of Greg, how many teams in 03-05 called them cheaters when they proved to be clean?

Antron and Hagan run the same type of engines that are available to everyone else. Only V&H can run Harley's and the V-Rod engines. It doesn't matter how much money you have, you cannot get a V-Rod engine.
 
This will always be an issue when 3 different systems are run under 3 different rules within the same class
 
i couldn't agree more!. . . motorcycle WHAT! only class worse class to throttle stop racing!

That's what I think, hey guys it's motorcycles, it doesn't have the fan pull, most fans don't care. Seems like a lot of drama, and everybody whining about it. WHO CARES.

Oh please. Michael Phillips seems like an a-hole who can't back up the crap that comes out of his mouth. :rolleyes:

And the H-D haters are just jealous that they are beating those rice burners. :D
 
Vance and Hines has been the promoter and supporter of the PSB class as long as its been in existence. That being said, I don't think there would be any controversy IF the Harley engines were sold or leased to other competitors OR any other teams were (allowed?) to run Harley Davidsons. I like Harleys but anyone looking at all the mechanical aspects can see they have an advantage !

Read this real slow, if you want to run a Harley, build one. V&H doesn't have to sell you one. Any more than Greg and Jason have to sell you a Pontiac.

I don't get why people think the H-Ds have this mythical "advantage" over the other bikes. If that were the case, they would be winning every race on the tour. :rolleyes:

I think yer right Norm. Just a pittyfull atempt to generate interest in the bikes. Note I don't call them pro, it's been a handicap class for years.

Hope Mr. Stephans is happy with the drama. I can see it now in the spring:

You obviously cannot read so I'll try a third and final time: Nobody but V&H can run a Harley! Is it really that difficult to understand? :rolleyes: You can build a Harley, but NHRA won't let you run it. George Bryce wanted to do just that.
 
I have to completely agree with a lot of you on this.. The DRAMA is great-but definitely in the WRONG Class!!! We need to be seeing this in TF & FC. Now that would make the Ratings go SKY HIGH!!!!!!!:eek::eek::eek:

You are wrong. George has the same rulebook as V&H if he wanted to build one he can.

There are a hundred things I can think of off the top of my head that teams have exclusively and don't sell. If you want to run a Mustang FC you can, but you can't buy a body from Force. The Chuck Ford blowers were all the rage for a time, and he wouldn't sell them. DSR is working exclusively with MBE on head and manifold stuff (you noticed the big speed out of all their cars recently) try buying any of that. WJ designed and had built a completely new transmission in his hey day a few years back that had all of PS up in arms, but he had a two year agreement for exclusivity with the manufacturer so nobody else could get one.

I could go on for days. V&H builds that stuff in house, and nobody can make them sell it. But nobody can stop somebody else from building one either. if anybody else showed up with a Harley and it passed tech, he could race it.

much tv time, if not more than tf, fc & ps drivers.....with a lot less investment;
maybe with exception of v&h.

pulling for karen to win it all.

is greg cope still building engines for the johnson?
i know he was way back to the geno days...if that is true, he's been doing that for some time, even before he went to v & h
anyways...
 
If you want this S H I T to end simple answer? Make all the bikes spec, simple, easy, BORING! Why are you guys complaining when the v-rods runs great, but NO TEAM IS DOMINATING. Look at the results this year, NO TEAM IS RUNNING AWAY WITH IT!
 
I think what Brent is saying is that you can build a Harley that meets all the specs from tube to engine. Pay your entry fee, park your hauler, set up your pit, and THEN go present the product for Tech. and the NHRA would say, "Nope sorry, No one in PSM can run a Harley but Hines."

Is this correct Brent as you see it?

I'm pulling for Karen as well - Her and Steve Johnson are the only Suzuki riders I'll root for.

As far as Savoie, what was that about? I'm pretty sure Arana's crew member didn't do it on purpose (flicker the lights).

I would be shocked if this was actually true. If I had the manufacturing capability to build a perfect clone of the Hines bike, right down to the nuts and bolts, wires, motor, etc, and showed up, are you trying to tell me that NHRA would say "only Hines can run an H-D, I don't care if you pass tech, I don't care if your bike is legal, only they can run an H-D"?That is ridiculous, even by NHRA standards. That would be like saying only Edwards can run a GXP...are you really trying to make that case? Find me the wording in the rule book.
