My memory is fuzzy but there was a group of members who were trying to organize funding for Bill Ancona and his top fuel car. For the life of me I can’t remember what that site wa called but it existed for a couple of years or so but never got the traffic this site did.

Does anybody remember the member A. Poole? Huge WJ fan that stirred up a bunch of crap on a regular basis.
Deepstage.net Still have my lanyard somewhere.

Mine says July 8th 2006 but that was the day we all had to re-register for the site with our real names. (and pay $1) A bunch of us on here will all have the same registration date because we all re-registered that same day. I was here at lest 2 or maybe 3 versions of this site before that. I was originally "Nitrofanatic" before 2006. It's probably been 20 years for me. Roughly.

Feb 2007. Got here just as the owners and drivers were bailing.

July 12, 2006 using my real name.
You can add a couple more years to that with my original Final Effort

I was at the Finals in Pomona a few weeks ago and bumped into a few 'maters. I was saying to them that I just realized I've been on here 20 years (!!!).

Originally in 2002, I was on Don Prudhomme's snakeracingdotcom messageboard. When that one was shutting down in 2003, someone over there mentioned this place, so I joined here. Met a lot of cool maters over the years, but most of them don't post here anymore.

March 2008....65 and 5 years to retirement...Wifey says I better make it or she'll kill me...As I plow into my third choclate doughnut.....

I remember going to a Mater meeting in Seattle in 05 I believe it was. There was a member named Joe who traveled to most if not all of the Nationals. Anybody remember him?
