Summer of 2006. In between my sophomore and junior year in college....yikes.

I was around before the days we started this site with real names which I think was sometime in 2006. I want to say I first joined in 2002 or 2003, but I can barely remember what happened last week so don't hold me to that.

Ok, I'm senile. I don't know how long I've been here. How do you find out? Didn't see it under my profile.

It was Oct 1, 2009. Oh, and I'm 59 and a half.

Jerrod was recruiting people off the goracing.com message boards to get the original Nitromater going. Very early 2000’s. Jerrod was 1, Jeannie Allsage was 2, I was 3rd.

So far I'm the Newbie winner at the age of 65. I consider this a great honor. So....this place is just an old fart club? Where all the kiddies?

I looked back to see when nitromater was started. June 19, 2000 was when nitromater.com was purchased as a domain name. The first Wayback Time Machine recorded the site back in October of 2000.

Does anybody remember the old Speedvision board? It was the first board I joined and may have been the first ever I know it was in the 90's and it was wild. It wasn't password protected and anybody could post under your name.

I believe there was a site called goracing.com that had a message board back in the late 90’s. I was messaged through there that this site existed in the early 2000’s. At some point in the early days there was a site than spun off from this site. My memory is fuzzy but there was a group of members who were trying to organize funding for Bill Ancona and his top fuel car. For the life of me I can’t remember what that site wa called but it existed for a couple of years or so but never got the traffic this site did.

Does anybody remember the member A. Poole? Huge WJ fan that stirred up a bunch of crap on a regular basis.
