It's the valve that controls the flow of fresh air going into the drivers helmet.

Great video and excellent to see Jr. and the guys back out there, even though he never calls anymore! Even the old man had his car running!
If you watch closely, it appears the fuel shut off goes over center when shut off so John needed some help up front on the pump to get it open. Not a big deal, just an observation.
