Vegas 2 - 2025 (39 Viewers)

Good to see Brittany put one away and I was really pleased to see Hagen take home the Wally. He was so happy to win again and actually have an outside shot at winning all the marbles. Good guy, Matt Hagen.

Did Austin punch out his Tahoe support vehicle after he smoked in the final? :D
I’m sure he went and punched something. Last I saw he came over and congratulated Brittany and then stalked away.

I don't get it when someone gets frustrated that they weren't the best in a particular situation and have an emotional reaction to it, that some call it childish, infantile or acting like a baby... I'm with Larry on this one- second place is the first loser. Particularly in this sport, where there can be Only One. 🗡

When I am competing at anything I have always felt that if I do a good job and get beat, then I can live with that. But when I lose because I suck that would piss me off! People would call be a bad sport or sore loser, but I wasn't mad at the guy who won. I was mad at myself.

Hagan ran Low E.T. of the event in the final, and I bet that all the Procks respect that. It's when they smoke the tires and lose to 4.20 something that it's upsetting. Besides, they are still winning the war.....

If you bogey the 17th it's annoying. But when you still have a 3 stroke lead, you forget about it and focus on the 18th.

In Snakes book, 6 Seconds to Glory.
He states ( A good looser is a Looser ). I agree, and when I raised my kids in competition and in life, I would explain that if getting beat didn't bother them. Then maybe you shouldn't be in competition. Not that you throw a tantrum, but inside it should hurt, and you need to study why'd you gotten beat and work on eliminating that reason.

i liked dave grubnic's response to winning, about not showing up at reading. you can tell their lack of consistency really bothers him.
....... on the fox coverage. a few thoughts ......
1) i have to agree with others that the PS coverage is so minimal. you've got two individuals pouring money into this category, and one of them
arguably trying to move the needle in nitro: richard freeman and greg anderson. these guys are spending money and time for a reason, it might be nice
to recognize that with a little more coverage. it IS a mission foods pro category after all. dallas/greg semi-final was awesome.
2) on some of the runs, between rear spoiler cam, roll cage cam, and whatever else cam, they show 4 versions of the run, and not ONE of them is
a still camera showing both cars going down the track. um, i kinda' want to see both cars going down the track.
3) linda vaughn was there. she's in one of clay's vegas2 videos from the weekend. clay talks to her and a few other upper-aged guys. funny stuff.

What's disapointing is that they cover an 1-1/2hrs of the 2 fuel classes whether it be actual or replays or just straight up Bull$hit to kill time that they have allotted but... only 4 to 5 minutes of P/S and PSM. funny was they covered more air time of the ProMods. That sure as (fill in the blank) doesn't help P/S or PSM with convincing sponsors! And while i'm at it....Brian, Shut up during the run!!

This is almost off topic, but I've watched several youtube videos about the decline Vegas and how it's become nearly a ghost town.

For those of you who have been going to the Vegas race for years, how have you noticed the city changing? One of the common gripes are fees for everything now.

well someone needs to figure out who the 'pros' are and who they are not.
the class has the commitment of two rival teams who are playing the game. what if they decided to take their game somewhere else?
PSB on the other hand. JMHO, but who cares. just call it V&HB. same broken record every year.
PM is awesome, but at some point, what classes are going to be your marquee 'pro' classes? I think PM is included this year in mission foods
money? (i could be wrong). so that makes 5 pro classes. too many IMO, at least for your TV shows. how many driver names do you expect casual
fans to remember? or care about? in TF and FC you are asking the fans to be aware of at least 20-25 regulars. i couldn't name 20 nascar or indy car
drivers if i tried.

Nhra hates pro stock, hell when i was at reading when fuel cars were over the announcer says go in the pits to see the fuep teams thrash, right when pro stock was coming up

The fees are ridiculous. I was looking at going up early for this week's Regional just to catch a couple of things at SEMA needed a place to stay for a couple of nights. One hotel shows $59 per night. That's Me! Then $237 total for two nights. When the fees double the cost of the room, that ain't me.....

If anyone is hanging around Vegas for the Sema show and before Pomona, Mesquite NV. is only 2 and a half hour east on the 15 FWY, no BS fee's at the Casablanca and good paying machines. see you there tomorrow and Wednesday that is my entertainment place for me and NHRA TV for racing.
Larry Sutton---🤑🤠
PS: look for the only guy at the Casablanca smoking a pipe. 😁

For people coming from Southern California, there are several Indian reservations, especially towards the San Diego area, that have first class casinos now. Because they aren't subject to a lot of the taxes, as they are sovereign nations, their payout percentages (and profits) are higher and more attractive to gamblers. And with that, you can drive your own car there and be there within an hour or two without paying any ridiculous fees. And they are now booking big name entertainers and having some amazing shows at these casino facilities.

Years ago, when they were looking at building casinos at the Indian Reservations, the Nevada gaming contributed a lot of money to fight it. They lost, and this is the result.
