just got this from Linda

We just got home from Ann Arbor U/M hospital, everything went good for Julianna's surgery. They also checked other eye to see how's it's doing and everything is good there also. She go's back to hosp. tomorrow to have eye checked and also fitted with glasses. PJ and Kristen are doing good. Thanks for the prayers.

Great, Great News....
Parents seem to get wreaked about this, I've found my kids always took it in stride... but they take clues off their folks...

Big hug to Julianna, Big 'Guy Hug' to PJ... and a hug to Kristen too.:)

That's wonderful & thank you for passing the message along Jenn! I will continue to send positive thoughts & prayers for a great recovery!

Thanks for the update Jenn, been traveling a lot the last 2 months and had lost track.

Good thoughts to PJ and the family.

Sounds like great news PJ keep the faith we're all here with you I pray that things will turn out the way you want them to:D:D

Thanks everybody.

After the less than positve results I went through with these surgeries as a kid I have been a wreck having to watch her go through it. Luckily lightening didn't strike twice and she looks to be just fine. The eye is pretty bloodshot today (the first one wasn't) but they said its normal and should go away in a week or two. We now need to get her glasses, she'll have a dummy lense in one side until that eye heels. They'll be bifocals, in another year or two she she can then decide if she wants contacts or not. But at 2yrs old, thats a daily wrestling match we don't need :)

Of course she has come through it great, and my wife has survived putting up with me through this. They just don't come any better than her

Thanks to everyone for the messages, pm's and emails. We've been touched

The articifial lens that is put in can only work for distance or close up. It is set for distance but its impossible to make it 100% clear. So she'll need a slight perscription for distance to fine tune, right now up close is blurry for her so she needs the bifocal to act as a reader.

If she chooses contacts in a few years then she would still have to have reading glasses too, thats what I have to do.
