Unfortunately, once again, the Keystone Nationals lived up to it's reputation. But even with the dismal weather forecast and conditions, it's absolutely amazing how many sportsman racers participate at this race every year. What's even more amazing is the number of fans that show up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday even though the prospects of seeing anything (other than a jet dryer) go down the track are slim at best. And a tip of the cap to the NHRA staff that have to be the constant bearer of bad news to the sportsman racers. They proved again this past weekend that they are not doing their job for the money. At one point, during a heavy down pour, and not a dry spot anywhere for 300 miles, NHRA staff member "Cowboy" drove by on his golf cart and yelled out "alcohol cars in the water in 10 minutes" making us all crack up. If nothing else, the Keystone Nationals continue to prove that the NHRA sportsmen racers - NHRA personnel and above all, the NHRA fans are the best.
