Something diffrent needs to happen,it has to hurt somewhere in the $ for maple grove with all the rain
What would you suggest? Rain happens. This late into the racing season, the Pros only have Dallas, Las Vegas and Pomona left on the schedule. The Sportsman in that region only have Reynolds and Rockingham left on the schedule. Finish the event at Redding, even if it takes until Wednesday.

The Pro classes are done and the sportsman will start back up at 8:00 am on Mon. What an exciting final round for the pro stock and the nitro classes.

That Top Fuel final was great. We were lucky we didn't get a Pro Stocker upside down today (what a save by McGaha). They were dancing all over the place on the big end all day.

I only watched the semi finals and the finals but what a race between caps and Hagan in the semi final. I would have liked to have seen Leah and Brittany in the finals...Leah did her job all day but the car didn't. Maple Grove fans sure love their racing. It's almost 4:00am Mon and it's quiet and foggy here now.

Unfortunately, once again, the Keystone Nationals lived up to it's reputation. But even with the dismal weather forecast and conditions, it's absolutely amazing how many sportsman racers participate at this race every year. What's even more amazing is the number of fans that show up on Thursday, Friday and Saturday even though the prospects of seeing anything (other than a jet dryer) go down the track are slim at best. And a tip of the cap to the NHRA staff that have to be the constant bearer of bad news to the sportsman racers. They proved again this past weekend that they are not doing their job for the money. At one point, during a heavy down pour, and not a dry spot anywhere for 300 miles, NHRA staff member "Cowboy" drove by on his golf cart and yelled out "alcohol cars in the water in 10 minutes" making us all crack up. If nothing else, the Keystone Nationals continue to prove that the NHRA sportsmen racers - NHRA personnel and above all, the NHRA fans are the best.
