Not me! No interest anymore. With all the doping scandals, and high dramas, I've lost interest.

Last summer my son was in London and was able to watch the prologue for TDF. He loved it.

The TDF is in the same boat as the Olympics and home run hitters as far as I am concerned. Every time someone wins or breaks a record ... the first thought should be guilty until proven guilty.

I'm friggin' addicted to it, doping or not. I TiVo the live show (which comes on at 5:30 am and is 3hrs long), and watch it every day -- although I will admit to fast forwarding through some parts of it. Not sure how it happened but I got addicted about 5 years ago, and that's all she wrote.

I think some of the negativity above is warranted, for sure. But they are being just insanely careful now, even more than necessary some say. They booted an entire team, even though the name of the team was the only thing associated with the issue and none of the riders has been involved. So I think they may have it under control. I hope...

I'll admit that I haven't followed it. Do we have any American hopefuls? My cycling hero is Lance Armstrong and I believed the US was done for good when he stepped down then along comes Floyd Landis in the mountains and wakes up the neighborhood. What amazing athletes! Keep us informed Yankster.

There are a few great American riders, some on foreign teams. (Tyler Hamilton, Levi Leipheimer, George Hincapie). Every now and then I will check it out but don't follow it daily, like in the past.

Tyler is a doper he's gone. Levi signed up with Astana, who were not invited back after having doping issues that previous two years. Bad choice Levi.

George is with Team Columbia - columbia sportswear, they just signed on as a sponsor, this team is US based , as is Team Garmin/Chipotle.

I started watching when I bought a bike in 2003. I ride 100 miles a week in th summer and I love watching the tour de france. Yes there are problems with doping. That is nothing new. It just gets talked about now. And that goes for all sports....

And you do realize Landis was stripped of his title for testosterone levels ?

I don't blame any of the individual riders for this BTW. The organizers and their pathetic attempts at testing. If you are a professional, and you know your competitors are cheating because the organizers can't or won't enforce the rules, what do you do?

you do as the romans do....

my sister was able to spectate at high point on mnt. pass a few years ago.
amazing athletes that's for sure.

What the heck is the Tour de France???

Just kidding, I forgot that it's that time of year again. What TV network is covering it this year? Vs.?

Yep, Versus is covering it. Good coverage. They have a 3+ hour live show at o'dark'thirty in the morning (at least here in PDT), and a really nice recap/remix of that show every evening where they condense it quite a bit.
