Neither was Kyle Larson (who's also nominated) for awhile...he was fired by his team owner and suspended for months by NASCAR....but he worked through it, made the proper amends and continued on as a popular, talented driver. Steve Torrence did the same thing and those paying attention have seen that while I'm sure Torrance still has his banty rooster side, he settled his differences with Cameron Ferre the day after their dustup, publicly apologized for his actions and he's learned to keep his temper in check ever since. Besides, we're voting for best driver - not best personality.
