Tony Pedregon "worster"

Sh!t happens, no big deal. I like to think of myself as a decent speaker but if somebody shoved a mic in my face I'd probably sound like Elmer Fudd.

I think Tony Pedregon is far better than Mike Dunn. Dunn had great knowledge and knows racing, but Tony is more current and at least he doesn't use the stupid word BASICALLY over and over or
OBVIOUSLY OVER AND OVER! Yes Tony made a gaff. But all in all he is way better than Mike Dunn in my opinion, and I started racing 56 years ago! I have heard a lot of announcers. If there is
one announcer I can't stand it's Joe Costello! His nonsensical babbling and pompous attitude along with a voice that will peel paint off my wall. Now THAT is one I would like to see GONE!!!

Bob, ho, ho, you gave me a good laugh w/ that one!
Joe sounds like one of those old radio news broadcasters from the '40s, doesn't he? :D

worster.......then instead of saying 'they are better than at the last race', he mite as well say 'they are more gooder'.
i know it is just a gaff, but until he said it, i don't think i could have ever dreamed that one up.

It's easy to find fault in any of the TV commentators on any given day, especially when we're not the ones attempting to express very specific thoughts about a particular race, driver, situation, etc. within a very short period of time while at the same time listening to producers and so forth constantly talking in our ears. Do they make mistakes and occasionally say some silly things? Sure they do, they're human. Still, they all generally do a fantastic job and if Fox Sports suddenly brought in a entirely new crew, we'd find things to complain about with them too.

I can say that in my 30 years of Navy air traffic control I've heard (and even said myself) some of the dumbest and silliest things you can possibly imagine... especially during my tour at Whiting Field - the USN & USMC's primary flight training facility. Student aviators are the best!
