NOT

Just read the Astros hire Ed Wade as General Manager. Here are his credentials. Was fired from Philly 2 years ago after being with them for 8 years without a trip to the playoffs. This should be interesting.

Geeezzz, if you are going to replace the dunderhead you just got rid of, at least find someone with a better track record than this.

Glenn, you can convert over to being a Diamondbacks fan where expectations are much lower than their day-in, day-out production. It's pretty easy to cheer for these babies.

Doc,

Where do I sign up?? :D

The sad part too, is the Astros are in the weakest division in the league. Heck, Chicago would be at best a 3rd place team anywhere else. Oh well, I guess I am still pissed off cuz, the Stos got swept in 4 of the World Series and I had primo seats for game 5.

Glen, I do agree that the NL central is currently the weakest division in the league, however, to win the division all you have to do is win more games than the other teams in your division, which my beloved Cubs are currently doing. It's kinda like the countdown, all you have to do is win enough to get in, and then it's anyone's game.

BTW, I am in no way bashing your Astros or LOUDLY praising the Cubs, because at this point the race is still too tight to call and there are too many games left to cheer loudly. After all, they are known as "the lovable losers".

Randy, I went back and re-read my earlier post, and I didn't mean for it to come across as sounding that the Cubs were a sub par team because of their record of .523 or leading a weak division. My apologies if I did. :o

I can assure you if the Cubbies do make it to the Series, they will go more than 4 games. I still blame Garner on some of his coaching calls that blew at least one game in the series.

GO CUBBIES :D

My Stro's need more help than just Ed Wade! Its been a very very bad season. We will see, but I gotta say Wade cant be worse than Purpura. We should have never gotten rid of Hunsinker.

Depends on your definition of "fun", I guess. Can't wait to see how ARod does in the playoffs this year though.
