was happy to see valvoline nextgen get the win with beckman.
they haven't been a serious presence as a major car sponsor in nhra since amato; i hope they continue to see value in dsr and nhra

ironic aarons goes to the champ car in lieu of departing sponsor diehard,
then fails to make playoff while original aarons fc (jack) wins the season

i'd like to see tj jr. drive for dsr, but best guess is the cattle rancher:rolleyes: probably has a little more residual income at his disposal to fill sponsor voids
than does tj jr.

Good post Mike, I agree with ya bud.

Hmmmm, heading for Michigan. I can't believe that no one picked up on this. Obviously Jessie James is going to need some help with the funny car next year.

Tommy D. worked for Kalitta years ago and reportedly is taking his assistant with him. Supposedly they are already there. I wish them well. Tommy is a very smart guy.

It said on DRO that several multi car teams have plans to scale back next year. And I believe that to be true. If you think DSR will run a self funded car I have news for you. In years past we would hear of new sponsors coming in for the next year, around the week of Pomona. This time we are hearing of all the sponsors and people that won't be back.

A friend of mine from college worked at a fairly prominent ad agency. Today, they had a meeting and told everyone they are shutting the doors immediately since there is no business out there. It's an ominous sign. Our sport runs n advertising.

See, just like I told you, Jesse does need some help tuning the funny car.

Hmm mm, I wonder why his name wasn't included in the article? I'm sure it was just an oversight.
